A sales promotion programme oriented to realization of Sri Lanka Telecom technology was held for one week in the Kurunegala and Chilaw districts.

This was for the first time that Sri Lanka telecom launched such programme targeting villages for seven days, Sri Lanka Telecom zone 1 and 2 General manager Upali Jayakodi said.

Under the programme, public awareness was created on the tallest Megaline connection, C.D.M.A. Telephones and Broadband high-powered Internet connections.

During the interim period of the programme, as a special offer, free installation of Broadband connection was provided.

Public awareness was created on group basis with 18 groups in the Kurunegala district and 15 groups in the Chilaw area.

Prizes amounting to Rs. 50,000/- were given by drawing lots on pamphlets distributed among people.

Chief marketing officer Telecom Ajantha Seneviratne, Deputy General Manager (Zonel) Muditha Sanjeewa and Kurunegala Regional Manager Sanjaya Kumara also participated.
