*Pro LTTE ETV has taken off air due to pressure from Sri Lankan Goverment. Unlikely to return again with same name and location but ETV may think of some clever takticks to return again just like previously how TTN (Tamil Tigers Television Network) returned as ETV. It is the same channel but different name and different broadcasting location.

*Dan Tamil Lanka to go through a complete revamp from 14th April and also to announce an official website. At present it is Free-To-Air and broadcasts various programmes from Nethra TV Sri Lanka (Inimai Etho, Symphany, Mathuraganam, Ulaga Valam etc.) as well as Live News from Nethra TV and ITN Sri Lanka. It can be seen in Sri Lanka via YAMAL 202 at 49E as well as in Europe and Middle East.

TV Lanka is to become a Pay Channel and become part of Spize TV Package in Eurobird 9E which is said to include Tamil, Singhala, Malayalam, Kannada & Telugu channels. More Singhala & Tamil channels are expected to join there line-up very soon. Source: Digital Media Europe

Pro LTTE channels Euro TV Tamil and Tharisanam was shut down by the Sri Lankan Government but once again found a way to comeback via another New channel which appeared couple of days after the shut down of Tharisanam TV. The staff who works for the New channel Thendral TV are unsurprisingly are the same staff who worked for Tharisanam TV and Euro TV Tamil.

Riz: Can you please tell me which staff from Euro TV Tamil is now working for Thendral TV?

The fact is that there are no staff from Euro TV Tamil who works for Thendral TV. Euro TV Tamil still exist online as webtv (Euro Television - Tamil Community Television From Switzerland) with their staff and normal programming.
Why write about something as it is the truth, whn you don't know for sure?

When will we see more Tamil/Sinhala channels on Eurobird 9?
And will DAN Tamil Ozhi Lanka also be encrypted?
