15-05-2009 near to parliament- I was prevented from talking to others; I was banned from using telephones. I was prevented from contacting anyone or walking to T-bane. I am facing grievous threats from this organization.

Tamil Protestors assaulted me near to parliament and they said that I am against to their Terrorist activities and Pro Norway journalist.

When I was on my to home after meeting with Mrs Erna Solberg and "Srilankan Former Prime Ministers", 02 LTTE Terrorist activist came from the demonstration and attacks to me. Attacker asked why I met Hoyre's Party Leader, Mrs Erna Solberg MP, at her office in Parliament today.

They held me hostage nearly 05 minis and then took me to Protest area without allowing to go home. They told me that if I said this matter to police they will kill me and my family in Norway.

As a Journalist, I did not attempt to take sides but merely reported the facts. I performed a dual role.

On the one hand we disseminated news concerning events in Sri Lanka while on the other I published news about events in Norway so as to help the process of integration.

My journalistic progress in Norway was not without its problems. The Tigers and their supporters were not happy about my position. Whenever news items unfavourable to the illegal voilance appeared in the “media" there were many personal messages either threatening or entreating.

I received many threats and abusive telephone calls from anonymous persons. I dismissed these lightly as "occupational hazards".

But, today 2009-05-15, I was assaulted by a gang of 02 LTTE staff outside the Norway parliament near to parliament underground Train Station steps ways.

This incident happen when Hoyre's Party Leader, Mrs Erna Solberg met "Srilankan Former Prime Ministers” at her office in Parliament 15-05-2009.

They accused me of writing against the LTTE. Using some strong inside the heavy boots, I also received pain on my stomach and Pools pain.
LTTE and labelled me a "traitor".

Please help me to safe my life in this peace full country.

In the aftermath of each one of the above incidents, I had been mentioned as the 'next target'.

I have filed several complaints with the Norwegian police, about the articles concerned, before and after each one of the above murders.

This news is Once again, usually received repeated Political motivated Death threat by Srilankan Jungle law makers in Norway.

I hope that police are able to investigate and act on these threats as soon as possible.

I have always given prominence to my work. The work of a journalist is not easy in a highly militarised and polarized society such as the Sri Lankan one. It is not easy to please everyone, and attempts to please any one side would go against journalistic ethics. But many groups involved in the Sri Lankan conflict do not recognize the work of the journalists for society at large, and instead choose to label us as members of one group or another. This has led to a sorry state where the LTTE accuses me of being a traitor, and those opposed to the LTTE accuse me of being a member of the LTTE.

My work as a journalist, and the reports I had produced, even for the radio station, show that I was not aligned to any political party or armed group. My refusal to join one group does not automatically make me a member of another. I simply wanted to, and still do want to, lead a peaceful life with my family. I am not, and wish not to be, a part of any group in Sri Lanka.
