Bharti Airtel Lanka Limited, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, Asia’s leading integrated telecom service provider, will be the Platinum Sponsor for the Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2009. The Summit, the foremost business forum in Sri Lanka, is organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce for the 10th consecutive year. Scheduled for June 30 and July 01 and 02, at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo, this year’s theme has been identified as “Dawning of a New Era . . . Opportunities and Challenges”

Focusing on a number of relevant topics, the Summit invites eminent speakers and panelists from the government, corporate community and international agencies to initiate intelligent debate on strategies to accelerate plans for the country’s economic and social development. Amali Nanayakkara, Chief Executive Officer of Bharti Airtel Lanka, stated “While we are honoured to be associated with the Sri Lanka Economic Summit this year as Platinum Sponsor, we are also well aware of the positive impact the forum generates on the community at large.
